Our wide range of industrial gasketed plate heat exchangers is suitable for all types of industry and multiple applications from heating, cooling and heat recovery to condensation and evaporation. We are constantly looking to extend and upgrade the range, adding new performance criteria and greater flexibility. Semi-welded plate heat exchangers are suitable for refrigeration, chemical processes and various kinds of industrial utility duties. The unique Alfa Laval RefTight™ sealing system guarantees a long lifetime sealing between the welded channels because the laser weld is on the outside of the ring gasket groove. The smooth surface ensures a tight uniform seal over the entire gasket ring.
You can order the Alfa Laval Industrial semi-welded line for various temperature programs, pressure drop limitations, media and operating pressures. The various sizes in the product line cover a full range of heat transfer capacities and flows. All are carefully designed and selected to achieve optimal performance.

Built with Alfa Laval’s flexible DynaStatic distribution system, which our experts optimize according to your specific application and choice of refrigerant, our AC line of heat exchangers offers top thermal performance in evaporation duties. Combined with the unique FlexFlow asymmetric channel plates, you get the maximum possible efficiency for your system.
With the integrated but flexible DynaStatic distribution system, Alfa Laval AC brazed heat exchangers can provide high performance in evaporation and condensing duties. In many cases, this performance can be 20-40% greater than comparable heat exchangers without a distribution system. This offers big advantages both for reversible systems and when defrosting is key to the application. Alfa Laval has specially engineered the AC line for air conditioning/refrigeration chiller applications and heat pump applications. Common duties include dry expansion evaporators for cooling water or glycol, condensers for rejecting or recovering heat to water, economizers, subcoolers, and desuperheaters.

Fusion-bonded plate heat exchangers are made of 100% stainless steel and provide efficient heat transfer with a small footprint. They are maintenance free and provide a long service lifetime. They are suited in applications which put high demand on cleanliness, applications where aggressive medias such as ammonia are used or where copper and nickel contamination is not accepted. Can handle very high temperatures or extremely high pressures.
AlfaNova
Manufactured with Alfa Laval’s patented AlfaFusion technology, AlfaNova is a heat exchanger consisting of corrugated stainless steel plates bonded together without any copper or nickel. The unique design means that AlfaNova can withstand more extreme temperatures and pressures with greater fatigue resistance than conventional brazed plate heat exchangers. It is also suitable for duties with very high hygiene demands.
AlfaNova’s unique fusion-bonded manufacturing process provides greater reinforcement for the plate pack, which in turn ensures a higher degree of pressure resistance than that offered by comparable technologies. Additionally, the 100% stainless steel construction makes it possible to withstand temperatures as high as 550°C (1020°F). As a result, AlfaNova is highly dependable in applications with extreme pressure and/or temperature demands. Use of the same material for all key components also provides high thermal efficiency, in addition to giving the unit mechanical strength equivalent to any fully welded counterpart.
